Partnerships Manager

When it comes to partnerships, sponsorships and outreach, you're in the know or you're not. You can't sit on the fence. You can't pretend to be a partnerships manager and not have a stellar industry connections profile. You can't pretend to have slick interpersonal skills and ability to close a deal. There is no pretending.

Negotiating strategic partnerships and sponsorships requires a pundit who can weave their way through red tape, contracts and tough choices while smiling and promoting the brand's values to everyone they come into contact with. It's no ordinary feat and we're not looking for any ordinary candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, secure and foster financial and support from partners, including corporate sponsors, trusts and foundations, private donors or philanthropists and government

  • Manage and enhance existing relationships, and build new relationships by identifying and packaging partnership opportunities, and cultivating current and prospective partners

  • Create sponsorship proposals and tiers for target companies

  • Forge partnerships with sponsors and strategic brands who want to contribute towards promoting 21st-century skills in schools

  • Strategic planning, development and management of key partners and sponsors for Kalebr

  • Strategize and collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Curriculum and Sales departments to align sponsorship opportunities with the business strategy and goals

  • Develop creative ways to partner with companies to maximise their involvement and financial support Kalebr ventures

  • Oversee development and effective use of communications collaterals

  • Oversee success metrics, tracking and reporting of sponsor acquisition efforts

  • Strategically identify key high-level targets

  • Manage sponsor/partnership deliverable process, communication with Marketing and Sales Managers to ensure commitments are delivered

  • Support Commercial Manager to manages contracts and payments with confirmed Partners and sponsors

  • Manage all partnership relations and communications, providing excellent support and overall experience

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in similar role

  • Proven ability to lead and project manage large and simultaneous projects, defining and implementing goals while maintaining scope, budget and schedule

  • Prior experience working with global companies and proven industry connections

  • Proven business development or direct revenue generation experience

  • Strong client relationship management, sales and customer service skills, with the ability to inform and persuade people

  • Ability to work cohesively with a team and also independently with strong initiative and proactive involvement

  • Strong written and verbal communication and sales skills, able to deliver clear, concise information to partners, clients and team

  • Ability to initiate and negotiate high-value contracts to help meet company goals

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organised, ensuring quality and consistent output

  • Ability to effectively solve problems, make decisions and take action, exercising solid independent judgment

  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and work independently with little guidance in a fast-paced, often ambiguous and changing environment

  • Good leadership skills with previous project and team management experience

  • Strong knowledge of the event industry, trends, and strategies

  • Strong work ethic, and good moral judgment
